Having had the opportunity of being mentored under celebrity make-up artists Talya Ashford and Candace Corey, I felt the need to give back. In 2006, I started a mentorship program component of my business called the Glam Mentor Program. I constantly keep my eyes out for promising talent and teach them everything that I've learned in this business. From techniques, to client etiquette to taking pride in their own beauty - I allow my Glam-R-Us participants to follow and assist me on jobs and stage an opportunity for them to book themselves for events or join my staff.
Rosalyn
I'm very excited to introduce Rosalyn McGee! Aside from her reliability and talent, Rosalyn is passionate about learning the business of makeup artistry inside and out by soaking up every piece of instruction rendered to her to improve her artistry technique.
Rosalyn also brings a timeliness (she often early to events), efficiency and a sweet-spirited and humorous nature to each set. Each client leaves her chair feeling beautiful and pampered. Invested in giving each client enhanced naturalness, Rosalyn's hidden talent is her ability to maintain natural hairstyles alongside glamorizing natural beauty!
Like much of my staff, Rosalyn has shadowed me (The Glam Doctor) and learned to grow into another brilliant and gifted young make-up artist taking the world with force.
Nakia
A
creative fusion of “flair” and “fabulous” best describes the
beautiful make up artistry of Nakia Davis.
Naturally blessed with the gift of creating a beautiful face, Nakia specializes in bringing out the beauty that already exists in every person. Whether enhancing the “blushing” bride or preparing high fashion models for the runway—Nakia’s signature style and special touch is unique and professional.
Nakia’s gift has also afforded her the opportunity to train and work with some of the industries most sought after talent such as Rashida “The Glam Doctor” Williams and nationally recognized make-up specialist Taliya Asford. Nakia’s services are also requested at major events. She has worked as the exclusive make-up artist for a national convention. As well as being selected to join the professional make-up team for the television network TCT.
Most recently Nakia had the prestigious honor of working at the very popular and well attended event “Detroit Fashion Week. “ To her credit she has also done television work on Bishop Greg Davis, and national televangelist Bishop Liston Paige. As well as other services for Detroit city council woman the Honorable Monica Conyers
Nakia attributes her success to hard work, determination and strong faith in God and plans to keep going strong simply because she loves to “make people look and feel beautiful.”

Jessica Harps brings so much precision to The Glam Squad! Why wouldn't she with a degree in Electrical Engineering? With a desire to make each client feel special and pampered, Jessica is the nurturer of our team.
Even engineers desire to look their very best! Jessica brings with her a myriad of talents including being a licensed manicurist. The sky is the limit for Jessica!
Tye
It

that Tye Hutchinson brings to my team! From bringing her warm
and inviting sense of humor to each client to embracing the
spirit of excellence that I ask of each team member, Tye has
been absolutely invaluable to The Glam Squad.
